Drakes Prayer is a motor yaght which has now for a couple of times stole my heart either to paint or sketch.

The painting has been created using watercolour in a wet on wet technique.  This is done by applying watercolour on either a wet surface or applying layers upon layers, in my case a third glaze of colour over a wet colour.  It is very important not to let the first glazes to dry, thus allowing the colour to blend and create a great atmosphere.

In this timelapse video, the painting was done on a tilted desk easel.  The paper used is a Fabriano 300gsm rough stretched to withstand a great amount of water used during the whole process.
